Renewables Connections, one the UK’s leading renewable energy developers, has won a prestigious national award at the Energy Awards 2024. This year’s event on the 3rd of July, saw the Renewable Connections team scoop The Energy Champion of the Year, Group Achievement Award.
The Energy Champion category is designed to reward a team or individual making a demonstrable impact on the energy industry, whether through innovation, influence, or just plain enthusiasm and dedication to efficiency and best practice.
Michael Hughes, Managing Director of Renewable Connections said: “Since we launched the company in 2020, Renewable Connections has rapidly established itself as one of the UK’s leading renewable energy developers. Our expert team has achieved consent for nearly a gigawatt of home-grown renewable energy. Specialising in solar, battery and hydrogen we have secured consent for no less than 20 renewable energy projects, making a significant contribution to the UK’s ambitious Net Zero target.”
He added “We, and our business partners, are absolutely delighted to have won this prestigious industry award and thank the judges for selecting us from what was a very strong short-list.”
The Energy Awards 2024 were hosted at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.
