Students from City, University of London and St George’s left the Capital this week to enjoy a guided tour of an operational solar farm in rural South of England. Armstrong, a sustainable investment specialist, manage and operate Langford Solar Farm in Bedfordshire and welcomed the students for a guided tour and question and answer session. Fifteen students were joined on the tour by University staff, employees from Armstrong, and Armstrong’s development business, Renewable Connections – one of the leading renewable energy developers in the UK.
Michael Hughes, Director at Armstrong, said “We’re committed to investing in the next generation of renewable energy specialists and this is the second year running we’ve hosted students from City, University of London and St George’s, to a visit to Langford Solar Farm. Once again, it was a fantastic day enjoyed by all and a great opportunity for those attending to gain experience of solar technology.”
Langford Solar Farm is 13MW ground-mount solar asset and generates enough power for up to 5,000 homes per annum. Armstrong manages around 2,700 commercial and residential ground mount and rooftop assets across the UK.
